Breaking Asylum are a four-piece band from Dundee in Scotland who specialise in going beyond genres, mixing dance and rock music, full on metal breakdowns, Industrial synth, and funk all in one setlist, while keeping a no nonsense, down-to-earth approach in writing and playing music.
Originally just a little thing between guitarist/synth player Chris Adams and ex-drummer Andy Carlyle, in 2009 took on singer/guitarist Mark McNamee and bassist Lewis Bage and became a live band gigging in and around Dundee, Scotland.
However, early in 2010 Andy Carlyle decided to leave the band, which led to months trying out drummers and whilst working on more music.
We recently took on our new drummer Troy Sloan, and have since September 2010 been back on the Dundee music scene, building a larger fan base and a better performance than ever before!
